Do I need an appointment to visit Capitol's Design Center?
Absolutely not. You are welcome to browse anytime during our Design Center hours. We usually are able to assist everyone who has basic product or price questions within the first few minutes of their arrival. If you do want to spend more than a few minutes with a specific design team member, or have a project to discuss that requires a considerable amount of planning, it is always a good idea to call ahead for an appointment. Our appointments are scheduled on a first come first served basis.
Do you charge for any of your Design Center services?
We are always available to answer general product questions and give price quotations free of charge. If you need design services for your project we provide up to two full hours on a complimentary basis including an initial state-of-the-art computer rendering. It has been our experience that many kitchen and bath projects can be successfully designed and finalized within this time guideline. If your job does require additional renderings or more assistance than two hours allows we charge a $50 per hour design fee. The drawings and layouts become yours to keep and the fees are deductible up to 10% of the total cost of materials purchased from Capitol Group. Please ask your designer for additional details.
Does Capitol provide installed sales?
We do not provide installed sales. Our expertise is in kitchen and bath product sales and design. Companies providing installed sales normally subcontract with independent contractors and add a fee on to the cost of the job for this service. Most of these same contractors will deal directly with you. We would be more than happy to recommend several reputable contractors for your project.
Will you sell directly to me for a do-it-yourself project?
Capitol sells and services both the professional and retail customer. If you plan on installing the product yourself we will be happy to supply all of your product needs. It is our firm belief however that professionally installed products offer a great degree of safety, service life and ultimate satisfaction. Please discuss with a professional contractor what experience, warranties and value added services they can provide.
What job coordination services do you provide?
Our experience with remodeling and new construction projects reminds us that our job is just beginning after the sale is made. We coordinate all customized and special order products with the manufacturer. We can gather all products needed for a single job site delivery. If a contractor is involved we can coordinate delivery schedules and supply installation instructions. Our staff is available for job site visits when special measurements are required or design information is needed. Throughout this entire process your Capitol representative maintains your job file and is always available to assist in any way. We understand that construction projects can be stressful. Our goal is to make your project as hassle free and enjoyable as possible.
